FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George has a new tool available on its website to help people better navigate the community.
The traffic disruptions map was launched today, and it allows residents to see current and upcoming closures, detours, and other disruptions. The interactive map will replace the notice of traffic and pedestrian network disruption daily notifications, which were sent to subscribers by email.
In addition to being more user-friendly than previous traffic notices, the map also integrates with GPS systems more easily. This ensures the most up-to-date traffic information is available for residents, emergency services, and transit providers. Map users can click on a disruption on the map to find out more information, what lanes are affected, the reason, and the estimated start and end time.
The map is available on the City website at princegeorge.ca/traffic.
