FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prince George B.C – The City of Prince George is bringing back a fall and winter recreation guide for the first time since 2020.
The Community Association Recreation Guide, which launched today, features a wide array of recreation opportunities offered by local community associations.
There are seven community associations within Prince George, and they all work with the City to offer programs in school gyms, fields, and parks throughout the city to residents of all ages and experience levels.
The seven associations are:
- Beaverly West Leisure Society
- Blackburn Community Association
- College Heights Community Association
- Crescents Community Association
- Hart Community Association
- South Bowl Community Association
- West Bowl Community Association
The committed and dedicated volunteers of each community association provide activities for every neighbourhood in the city. All Prince George residents are welcome to register for any community association’s programs and events.
For many of the programs, registrations start next week, and the guide lists all the upcoming community association programs for both children and adults, including when and how to register for specific activities.
“This guide is a great asset for everyone looking to get out there and get involved with some recreational activities this Fall,” Prince George mayor, Simon Yu said.
“The guide shows just how many different programs are on offer, and we thank the hard work of the volunteers at all seven community associations within Prince George.”
