FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prince George, BC – The City of Prince George is inviting the public to share their input on parking in the Downtown and Hospital Parking zones through online surveys launching today.
In February, the City announced the Parking Modernization Study, aimed at assessing and improving parking in these key areas. The study will help optimize municipal parking supply, enhance parking operations and enforcement, and align with the City’s long-term planning objectives, including the Civic Core District Plan.
Two surveys are now available:
- A public survey, open to all residents, can be accessed here.
- A business survey, designed specifically for downtown businesses, will be sent directly to recipients.
The public survey includes questions on parking availability, costs, accessibility needs, EV parking, active transportation options like cycling, and more. Both surveys will remain open until the end of April.
In addition to the surveys, direct engagement with downtown businesses and organizations such as the Downtown Business Association, Chamber of Commerce, and Tourism Prince George is planned.
The survey results capturing residents and business owners parking concerns and experiences will form a critical component of the study.
The plan is for the findings of the study and the public input to be presented to council in July.
Details about the project can be found here.
