Track at Masich Place opened to public earlier this week
Today is the last day to participate in the public walking program at the concourse at CN Centre.
Last fall, Council voted to reopen the ice at CN Centre and Rolling Mix Concrete Arena (RMCA) for user groups and to resume access to the to the CN Centre concourse for walking during the 2020/21 winter season. The City offers this service to provide people with a place to walk and stay active in a safe, snow and ice-free environment during the winter months.
The walking program will remain open until 4:00pm today. Those wishing to use the program for the last time this season are required to register online or by phone (by dialing 3-1-1) in order to comply with Provincial COVID restrictions that include facility owner/operators maintaining contact-tracing lists.
Other public walking options
On Tuesday, April 6, Masich Place reopened for the season, including for public use of the track for walking and running. Please note the track is also available to people who require the use of mobility aids, such as walkers.
The track is available for public use from 7:00am to 8:00pm, seven days per week, during the month of April, except when the facility is booked by a user group. The track hours will switch to a 6:00am start in May.

Note: with the melting of the snow and ice (and the weather forecast to warm up to 18 degrees by next week), the City also offers 106 kilometres of trail to explore.
