Are the responses on Fact Check accurate, or are they manipulated to make the City look favourable?

Answers published on City Fact Check are based on facts supported by documentation (e.g. staff reports to Council), data, and other supporting primary sources where and when available. The information provided will not contain uncorroborated sources, opinions, or other materials of a subjective and/or unverified nature.

It is not the City’s aim to sway views in one way or another. Facts will be provided so citizens can draw their own conclusions. For example, in a question about whether City capital projects are over budget or under budget the response provides a link to the list of all capital projects over one million dollars so that the reader can draw their own conclusions.
