As the season begins to change, cooler temperatures indicate it is time to winterize our outdoor recreational facilities.
As of October 9, 2026, all drinking fountains and the Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park Spray Park have been turned off and winterized to prevent freezing.
With respect to parks, gates, and public washrooms, the following list of facilities will be closed as of October 30, 2026.
- Masich Place Stadium
- Beach Volleyball Facility
- Rainbow Park Outhouses
- Carrie Jane Grey Park
- Connaught Hill Park and Gate
- Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park Washrooms
- Duchess Park Washroom
- All Sports Fields
Following the first significant snowfall of the season the following facilities will be closed:
- Jumpstart Multisport Courts
- Nechako Riverside Park and Outhouses
